Dear Readers,
It's snowing. It's been snowing for days which is unusual for here because I live in a semi-arid climate. The land welcomes snow. The moisture will make life easier for our trees, farmers and wildlife.
Today I saw a man walking in tire tracks in the deep snow because no one had bothered to shovel their sidewalks yet. He smiled at the giant flakes falling from the sky. Seeing him reminded me of why I like cold weather - it brings people together and it's easier to see the you-in-me and the me-in-you.
Fresh snow feels like a new start. A clean slate. A good omen for someone like me writing her first post. The snow makes everything soft, bright and still. Briefly, it reinvents the world making it the perfect time for quiet reflection.
To mark this day, I've created a fresh snow word search puzzle for you.
Wishing you moments of quiet joy,
Riddle Valentine
