Dear Puzzle People,
Let's start with what I know: cats don't like to be dirty, dogs don't like home deliveries -- and beavers can't abide the sound of running water! For a beaver, even a slight trickle signals that they need to build more dams to keep their home safe.
We might be more familiar with the ways of cats and dogs, yet there are many places in North America where we live alongside beavers. Recently I saw some giant trees that beavers had targeted for building materials. That is before park staff intervened.
I understand that step one for a beaver is to bring down the tree, but in this case, because the trees were so massive, it is hard for me to imagine step two. It is fascinating that a beaver's instinct to silence water would lead to such seemingly impossible projects.
All this led me to create a Sounds of Water Word Search for this month's free printable word puzzle. I hope you enjoy it.
